Aftercare

-Beginning the day of your procedure,  apply healing gel (provided)  to your brows in the morning and evening with a clean cotton swab (NO fingers.)

-Before applying a new layer of healing gel, remove the previous layer gently with a clean, damp cotton swab. DO NOT saturate your brows with water. Pat dry with a clean paper towel before applying a fresh layer of healing gel.

-No hot compress or icing of the procedure area.

-Avoid touching brows with fingers or with anything that could transfer bacteria.

-Although the healing gel will make the first week of healing more comfortable, you will still experience some dryness and scabbing which are both a normal part of the healing process. Scabbing generally lasts 14 days but can last longer depending on the individual. Even if all scabs have fallen off after 2 weeks, no touch ups can be done until 4 weeks have passed from the initial appt.

- No make-up/ facial products on the brows, tinting of lashes, extended sun exposure, harsh soap, steam, sweaty exercise, jacuzzi, swimming in chlorinated pools or in the ocean for a minimum of 2 weeks. If after the first 2 weeks you still notice some scabbing, continue to avoid these things. The scabs need to fall off naturally and in their own time for the best results.

-If you must be in the sun for more than 30 min, wear a hat or visor. Once scabs have completely fallen off, you’ll want to wear sunblock on your brows to prevent the pigment from fading, if you’ll be in the sun for 2 hours or more.

-The brow color will look very dark for the first 2 weeks. Once scabs have completely fallen off, strokes may appear faint, which is totally normal. They will slowly start to reappear through the skin once skin has completely healed (4-6 weeks). The healed color will look much softer than when initially applied.

-Do not use any products that contain AHA’s, Retin A, retinol, hydroquinone, arbutin or any other skin lightening agents on the brows, as it will fade the pigment. When applying these products allow generous space between the brows and area of application. These products tend to soak in and effect more than just the area they're directly applied to.

-Please understand that everyone’s skin is different and your skin may reject pigment in certain places, requiring you to schedule a touch up.

*If you experience any signs of infection such as redness, swelling, pus or pain, please notify your physician immediately.*
